Andrew Putt, owner of Hang Over Hops, developed his passion for farming while growing up in Auburn, Michigan, where farming is a way of life. He attended Michigan State University and graduated with a degree in agriculture. It was at MSU that his research put him on the path to choose hops as his crop of choice.
He was officially interested and committed to hops after attending the Michigan Hops and Barley Conference held annually in various Michigan cities. From there, Andrew set out to cultivate as much knowledge as he could on his newfound passion.
His 27-acre farm in Lake Ann, Michigan, provides prime conditions for growth and production of quality Chinook and Willamette hops. This year (2018) marks his first harvested crop, and Hang Over Hops is eager to share this successful experience with you.
Choose Chinook for mild to medium-heavy, spicy, piney, and grapefruit flavors ~ or Willamette for its mild and pleasant, slightly spicy, fruity, floral, and earthy subtleness.
